"Any time I learn of someone searching to buy a home I always recommend real estate broker, Arthur Chatroo, to them. Unfortunately the pattern has been that I learn of their home buying interest after they have already found a realtor. And all too often it appears to me that they have chosen an underqualified agent based on personality rather than qualifications. Many real estate agents are able to sell themselves by charming their prospective clients, but then struggle to sell their new clients' home lacking the necessary experience and/or knowledge. If instead of charm you seek a realtor with knowledge, integrity and professionalism, you will not find a better option than Arthur. Whereas most realtors' certifications begin and end with their RE agent's license (requiring minimal education and testing) Arthur's certifications include that AND a RE brokers license (much more education). His education furthermore includes a JD as he is also a practicing attorney in real estate law. His wealth of knowledge with regard to real estate, both at large and specific to the local market, is unbelievably comprehensive and detailed. I got to witness it firsthand when he engineered a complex "lease with option to purchase" agreement for me on a home in San Marcos, and negotiated a zero deposit which ultimately allowed me a free and easy exit strategy when the home eclined in value with the rest of the market about a half decade ago. Around the peak of the market, while most realtors were telling their clients that real estate prices will continue to climb forever, Arthur had the presence of mind to predict a housing bubble about to burst, and had the integrity of character to advise his prospective clients (myself included) of the significant potential for a market downturn, suggesting it may be better to wait things out before ommitting to a home purchase- proof that he cares about honesty and his clients more than his own bottom line. Beyond all these strengths though, it is his professionalism and diligence toward client satisfaction that shines the most. He is extremely thorough in his market research for every potential sale/purchase (e.g. comps analysis, identification of potentially hidden issues from cracked slabs to unpermitted construction and zoning laws). His response to emails is always extremely prompt and extremely detailed, often times including answers of value to questions not even asked, and generally followed up with a phone call to address any potential points of confusion. He is willing to accommodate all schedules for home showings, even when it may not necessarily be convenient for him. And all of this with the most professional, patient, and kind demeanor. The only critique I could give him is perhaps that he works too hard. And despite this long winded review of glowing remarks I still dont feel like I've done him enough justice. I intend to use him for my real estate purchases and sales in the future, and I just hope that by writing my first online review here that it will reach people before they have found a realtor to work with so that they may be as lucky to use his services too."
